I only just got hold of these two issues, due to the pressure of
other Life Events in June and July. There was a brief sagginess
in #3, but I think the slump has been averted. Certainly events
roll briskly right along.
The other pleasurable feature of this series so far is that all
the characters really act like themselves. None of those
situations where you say, "Now wait a minute, Black Canary would
never do that!" or "I'm sorry, it is incredible from all that we
have ever seen of him that Elongated Man would collapse in that
way" as the characters are shoehorned willy-nilly into some
cranky and too-big plot. Batman knows all, Brainiac-5 is
obnoxious and overbearing, Invisible Kid is a huge (huge!) fan,
Supergirl uses her microscopic vision. Delightful!
There is also a fine mastery of the cliffhanger and the
drop-dead quip ("You've killed the Batman!") that is fun. See?
It takes so little to keep the reader happy.

Personally, I'm waiting for the real Brave and the Bold co-stars Adam
Strange, Green Arrow, The Spectre, and Wild-Cat. Those were the best
co-stars for Batman. Best written were by Mike W. Barr

What about Batman and Dare You Enter The House of Mystery now that "was" a
bizarre B&B comic. Not so much the story but the title of the comic. I've
got it somewhere, must dig it out
